Sublimation Coating: Enhancing the Vibrancy of Your DIY Projects

Are you tired of your DIY projects fading over time? Do you want to add a vibrant and long-lasting touch to your creations? Look no further than sublimation coating! This innovative pretreatment liquid is designed to enhance the color saturation of sublimation substrates, ensuring that your DIY projects remain vibrant and eye-catching.

What is Sublimation Coating?

Sublimation coating is a specially formulated liquid that increases the concentration of sublimation substrate. By applying this coating to your hard surfaces, such as ceramics, mugs, phone cases, metal, wood, glass, leather, and tumblers, you can achieve a high gloss finish that is both waterproof and super adhesive. Say goodbye to fading colors and hello to long-lasting vibrancy!

With sublimation coating, your DIY projects will come to life with vibrant and moving colors. Whether you’re creating personalized mugs, ceramic tiles, acrylic pieces, stainless steel items, or glass cutting boards, this coating is suitable for any coated hard substrate.

How to Use Sublimation Coating

Using sublimation coating is a breeze. Follow these simple steps to achieve stunning results:

Step 1: Prepare the Mixture

Add 0.5 ml of catalyst (from the small bottle) per 10 ml of sublimation coating (from the big bottle). Stir the mixture thoroughly to ensure proper blending.

Step 2: Clean and Apply

Clean your hard substrates, such as ceramic, glass, metal, wood, or leather. Once cleaned, apply the sublimation coating using a brush or spray gun. Ensure an even and smooth application. Let it dry completely.

Step 3: Cure the Substrate

Once dry, it’s time to cure the substrate. For ceramics, glass, metal, and wood, place them in an oven at 340°F for 22 minutes. Alternatively, you can use a convection oven at 300°F for the same duration. Wood can also be cured at 340°F for 15 minutes or 12 minutes on a press with parchment paper and a silicone pad for protection, using light pressure. Metal can be cured at 320°F for 10 minutes or on a press for 3 minutes with a silicone pad and parchment paper.

Step 4: Sublimation Time

The sublimation time may vary depending on the substrate and method used. Follow the instructions provided for the specific sublimation process.
